North West Construction Hub

In January 2011 Manchester City Council announced lambert-gill ltd’s appointment to the low value North West Construction Hub (NWCH) for Cumbria. lambert-gill ltd are extremely proud of this achievement, and are excited with the opportunity the NWCH provides for us to continue to offer public sector clients our assured and focused service, a level of service that we have sustained in recent years as a Cumbria County Council framework partner.

What is North West Construction Hub?

The North West Improvement and Efficiency Partnership (NWIEP) was established to support public sector clients in their drive to increase efficiency, improve public services, deliver better outcomes for local people and save money. As part of the NWIEP the North West Construction Hub (NWCH) enables public sector organisations and the construction companies to work in partnership to deliver projects more efficiently, on time and cost, with an enhanced focus on quality and added value outcomes to support local communities.

The NWCH frameworks eliminate the need for a costly procurement exercise for individual projects whilst providing benefits including cost savings for authorities, reduction in contract times, improved quality of work and the ability to deliver added value objectives, such as training opportunities and apprenticeships, which are not obtainable through traditional procurement methods.

All public sector organisations in the north west of England can use the NWCH. The OJEU compliant appointment process is quick, straightforward and flexible. Organisations are able to choose either direct or competitive appointment. The final construction contract will always be between the individual contracting authority, as the employer, and the selected constructor partner, so ownership of the process is always maintained.

Why use the North West Construction Hub?

You can embark on any project safe in the knowledge that your constructor partner is best-in-class and pre-approved by a rigorous process. Costs are transparent, quality is assured and you don’t have to go through a lengthy and inefficient tender process.
The NWCH:

  • is OJEU compliant
  • offers faster and more efficient procurement
  • provides better value, lower costs and no claims
  • supports the local job market and economy
  • provides continuing performance improvement and client satisfaction

Working collaboratively with constructor partners through the NWCH framework will enable public sector organisations and the construction companies to work in partnership to deliver projects more efficiently, on time and on budget, with an enhanced focus on quality and added value outcomes to support local communities..
